[Exclusive] Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag design spotted on SmartThings app

 Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag is rumoured to launch alongside Samsung Galaxy S21 series in January.

We’ve known for a while now that Samsung has been working on smart object tracker, called Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag. 91mobiles reported previously that Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag price will be EUR 15 (roughly Rs 1,300) in Europe. Now, we exclusively bring you the first look of the Samsung tracker. Noted industry insider Ishan Agarwal has spotted a GIF and a few images of Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag on the recently-released APK file of Samsung’s SmatThings App. The images confirm Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag’s design that seems to be similar to the listing on South Korean certification authority that was spotted a few days ago.

The Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag tracker, as seen from the images, will have a rounded square shape that is reminiscent of Tile trackers. There seems to be a ring at the centre (could be a button as well that can be pressed to find a connected phone) and a lanyard-shaped hole for a cord or strap. That’s all this leak share!

If we go by the previous leaks and rumours, the Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag could in Black and Oatmeal colour options. The tracker has been certified to support Bluetooth v5.1 – per a Bluetooth LE certification. Additionally, the Galaxy Smart Tag is said to be compatible with Samsung’s SmartThings Find feature and offer similar functionality as the Tile tracker, in the sense that you’ll be able to tag the Samsung tracker to any object to know its whereabouts.

Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag release date hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s rumoured to debut alongside Samsung Galaxy S21 series in January.

OnePlus deepens integration with Oppo

OnePlus has officially extended its integration with Oppo in order to streamline its operations and make “better products”, according to CEO Pete Lau. Earlier this year, OnePlus and Oppo merged their respective R&D teams months after Pete was appointed the Senior Vice President and Chief Product Experience Officer of the investor group OPLUS which is an investor group that looks after OnePlus, Oppo and Realme.“With this deeper integration with OPPO, we will have more resources at hand to create even better products for you.
